
Moses Cooper, ISA-Certified Arborist

OwnerMoses Cooper leads the firm with over 17 years of experience in the tree care profession. He has been an ISA-Certified Arborist since 2013 and holds multiple industry-specific credentials. These include certifications as a Certified Wildlife Protector from the Wildlife Training Institute, a Certified Mauget Injection Installer, and Electrical Hazard Awareness from the Tree Care Industry Association. Moses is passionate about teaching and mentoring new tree climbers, and he is also an accomplished competitive tree climber. He earned 1st place in Belayed Speed Climbing and 2nd place in Aerial Rescue/Throwline/Work Climb at the Michigan Tree Climbing Championship.
Beyond his professional achievements, Moses is deeply committed to his community. He supports the Durango Botanical Gardens at the lifetime benefactor level, fostering a love of plants and trees. This is just one of the many ways he contributes to the growth of local tree care knowledge and appreciation. When Moses isn’t on the job, he enjoys climbing his favorite tree, “Pondosaurous,” or exploring the diverse forest ecosystems of Southwest Colorado.
“I have been involved in forest and tree restoration commercially since 2004. I have worked for the Colorado State Forest Service, the United States Forest Service, and five private companies. Including a three-year period working with a Board Certified Master Arborist and nationally ranked competitive tree climber. I am grateful for many opportunities and guidance from several mentors and ISA-Certified Arborists.”
