Codi Coghlan
Position:
Digital MarketerCodi Coghlan grew up in a Colorado ski town, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors through freestyle skiing.
After graduating from college in Portland, Oregon, with degrees in International Relations and Spanish, she moved to South America to travel and volunteer. There, she eventually became an English, Art, and Math teacher for students ranging from preschool through eighth grade.
Her career in marketing and sales began several years later in the Chilean Patagonia, where she worked for an adventure travel operator. There, she managed client communications in both Spanish and English, crafting and pricing custom itineraries for multi-day trekking, horseback riding, and kayaking adventures. After eight years abroad, Codi returned to her home state, taking a similar position with a rafting and Jeep tour outfitter. This role allowed her to hone her SEO and marketing skills through blog writing.
Codi’s passion for arboriculture took root in college after attending a talk by Nalini Nadkarni, a renowned Canopy Ecologist and climber. Nalini’s research—demonstrating how forest imagery in prison cells can improve mental health—left a lasting impression and ignited Codi’s enduring fascination with trees and their impact on well-being.
When Momentum Tree Experts began looking for office support, Codi recognized an opportunity to blend her marketing skills with her love for the outdoors. She joined the team, taking on daily office operations while also innovating digital marketing strategies to grow the company’s reach.
In her free time, Codi embraces eco-friendly and active travel, often exploring wild spaces through activities like backpacking, backcountry skiing, and rafting, while documenting her adventures. Fluent in Spanish, she enjoys connecting with people from diverse cultures and believes that learning from other cultural perspectives sharpens both empathy and intellect.
