Alia Evans
Position:
Office AdministratorAlia Evans joined Momentum Tree Experts in the spring of 2023. She brings a strong mix of organizational skills, customer service experience, and a deep respect for nature. Her role is essential in keeping daily operations on track and supporting both the team and clients.
At 19, Alia lived on the island of Molokai, Hawaii. She worked on a native Hawaiian farm through the WWOOF program. There, she learned from a Lāʻau lapaʻau practitioner—a traditional healer who uses plants to treat illness. She helped care for a sacred grove that only a few on the island could visit. She lived off the land, growing her own food and trading with neighbors for the rest. This time shaped her view on humans as stewards of nature.
Alia grew up in Northern California near giant redwoods. Tree climbing was a big part of her childhood. That early connection to the outdoors helped guide her toward the tree care industry.
Before Momentum, Alia worked in a wide variety of roles. She has over 12 years of experience supporting children and families. Her past work includes homeschool programs, outdoor education, ski school, ceramics classes, and preschool teaching. She also spent more than 14 years in the hospitality industry. These roles sharpened her communication, conflict resolution, and multitasking skills.
At Momentum, Alia handles scheduling, customer communication, and internal organization. She is known for her calm presence and attention to detail. Her ability to connect with people helps shape how the company is experienced by clients.
Outside of work, Alia is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She volunteers at the animal shelter and often pet-sits. She also enjoys making art and spending time in the mountains and rivers near Durango.
