Crew Member Spotlight

Zack Wilson brings a unique blend of creativity, hard work, and passion to the team at Momentum Tree Experts. Originally from Austin, Texas, Zack spent nearly two decades immersed in music before discovering a new calling in arboriculture. His transition into tree care began after he and a former coworker were laid off from another job. Rather than seeing it as a setback, Zack embraced the opportunity to help start a tree company in Texas, where he quickly developed a deep appreciation for the craft and the science behind caring for trees.

Now with two years of professional tree work experience, Zack enjoys every aspect of the industry, from planting and pruning to removals and long-term tree care. He especially values the role Arborists play in helping trees thrive and remain healthy for generations. Coming from Texas, Zack has always admired the massive live oak trees that define the southern landscape. Their sprawling canopies and timeless presence sparked much of his early fascination with trees and continue to inspire his work today.

When Zack moved to Colorado, he wasn’t sure whether he wanted to continue in tree work or pursue something new. That changed when he saw the Momentum crew working around town and noticed the strong camaraderie and energy of the team. After seeing Momentum’s trucks and crews in action throughout Durango, he knew he wanted to get back into the industry and be part of a company that clearly enjoys what they do.

Outside of work, Zack still carries his creative roots with him through music and enjoys spending time reading whenever he can. His thoughtful approach, willingness to learn, and genuine appreciation for trees make him a valued member of the Momentum team.
