Moses Cooper leads the firm with over 20 years of experience in the tree care profession. He has been an ISA-Certified Arborist since 2013 and, in 2025, earned the ISA’s highest credential: the Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA) designation. This certification reflects years of advanced study and experience in tree care and is held by fewer than 1,000 Arborists worldwide. It’s a meaningful milestone, equivalent to a verified PhD level degree, that highlights Moses’s ongoing commitment to excellence in arboriculture.

Additionally, he holds multiple industry-specific credentials. These include certifications as a Certified Wildlife Protector from the Wildlife Training Institute, a Certified Mauget Injection Installer, and Electrical Hazard Awareness from the Tree Care Industry Association. Moses is passionate about teaching and mentoring new tree climbers, and he is also an accomplished competitive tree climber. He earned 1st place in Belayed Speed Climbing and 2nd place in Aerial Rescue/Throwline/Work Climb at the Michigan Tree Climbing Championship.

Beyond his professional achievements, Moses is deeply committed to his community. He supports the Durango Botanical Gardens at the lifetime benefactor level, having donated over 60 tree systems and soil health injections. He also donates regularly to the La Plata Open Space Conservancy.

When Moses isn’t on the job, he enjoys climbing his favorite tree: a ginormous Ponderosa pine nicknamed, “Pondosaurous,” or exploring the diverse forest ecosystems of Southwest Colorado. Moses’s dedication to the field and commitment to sharing his knowledge have helped shape his career and drive his passion for arboriculture.
