Before entering arboriculture, he served as a Wildland Firefighter, where he developed skills that naturally transitioned into tree care. His background instilled a strong work ethic and adaptability—qualities essential for the dynamic nature of Arborist work.​

Currently pursuing his ISA-Certification, Alec is committed to advancing his knowledge and skills in the field. He thrives on the ever-changing challenges that each tree presents, finding joy in the fact that no two days are the same. This constant variety keeps him engaged and eager to learn more.​

For Alec, working among trees offers more than just a job; it’s a form of therapy. He cherishes the opportunity to be outdoors, enjoying panoramic mountain views from high in the canopy. His approach to tree care is rooted in respect for these ancient beings, understanding that healthy trees contribute significantly to the well-being of our communities and the environment.​

Outside of work, Alec leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys backpacking, hiking, and embarking on adventures with his dog, Doug. Motorcycle rides, river activities, and surfing during visits to California are among his favorite pastimes. An avid griller, he takes pride in preparing delicious meals for friends and family. And when it comes to bowling, Alec confidently claims he can outscore anyone.​
